With The New Year 2026 Comes Excitement

A new year brings fresh energy, new color, and renewed purpose—and 2026 is already inspiring me in powerful ways.

Like all artists, I’ve faced challenges over the past several months. But instead of dwelling on 2025, I’m moving forward with faith, prayer, and gratitude. Reading The Daily Word and trusting the process has opened the door to a new light—one that arrived just in time over Christmas and the New Year.

What truly reignited my passion was seeing the joy and excitement on people’s faces as they welcomed a Peter Grant painting into their lives. That response reminded me why I paint. Art is meant to be seen, felt, and experienced—not stored away. Some paintings simply need fresh color, renewed movement, and the courage to come alive again.

So it’s time to grab the paint, free the spirit, and make a difference.

I’m energized by what my dear friend and outstanding artist Laurie Pace calls the “Spirit of the Paint.” I like to call it “Slap Paint”—bold, expressive, and freeing. This creative freedom has sparked new work, renewed older pieces, and opened the door to exciting things ahead.

I invite you to join me on this journey.

Follow my website, read my blog, and stay connected through Facebook as I share new paintings, updates, and the evolving spirit behind the work.

The canvas is ready. The color is flowing. The journey continues.
